Hi, my hp laptop isn't reading any disks that I insert into the DVD drive. Whenever I insert a disk, I get a message asking if I'd like to format a new disk. I'm running vista, I don't know if this is a software or hardware issue. Where do I go to trouble shoot the problem? Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks.

This seems to be a Vista issue to me. As I don't use Vista I can't really help except to say you should probably repost in the Vista forum. Change the wording some so you don't get removed for double posting.
