Comment:

I had a DVD drive on my computer and one day out of the blue, it wouldn't work anymore. You can put in a disk, and it will spin-up, but when you go to open the disc on the computer, it says to insert a disc. The other drive works fine, and the drive I put in the DVD drive's place works fine as well. I've reinstalled the DVD Drive and everything with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Discard this drive and get a new one. Those drives(dvd or cd drives)do need to be replaced after a period of time.

The drive itself wasn't really all that old though. That's what got me. The drive came with the computer (bought new) so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
