Hi
I am having problem with my D drive ( dvd rom) which has suddenly disappeared from my computer menu and
is not detected by any applications either.My Antivirus program (NAV 2003)did not detect any virus in
system but I noticed a red mark (crossed) next to TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-M1612 which is drive-in-question.I
also tried to update driver and scan for hardware changes but with no sucess.DEVICE STATUS:This device
is disabled-code 22.I am very helpless in this
situation am an newbie.Any help will be greatly appreciated - Thanks

This is usually a symptom of installing/uninstalling Easy CD Creator.
You will need to edit the Registry to resolve this issue.
Open Regedit and go to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\
{4D36E965-E325-11C E-BFC1-08002BE10318}Now delete the keys:
"LowerFilters" and "UpperFilters".
Now reboot and your optical drives should function again.
