Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate, Pentium 4 3.0 GHZ
I have a Dell Dimension 9100 with 4 drives: Hard drive, CD RW,DVD RW and Floppy Drive. I Haven´t done any change on them. The only hardware-related action I did was to upgrade from the initial 512 MB RAM to 2 GB.

The operating system installed is Win 7 Ultimate.

I was going to fresh install Win 7 Pro from a DVD, but when I went into the BIOS, I was surprised it wasn´t listened in boot sequence so I was never be able to boot from my DVD Unit.

I´m a little bit disoriented because I can use both, the CD and DVD from Windows.

I want to add what I found in the devices adminstrator in Conttrol Panel and what is listed in the BIOS Section, hoping can give any clue

Device Administrator:

Maxtor 6L080M0 ATA DEVICE

BIOS Section:

1- Onboard or USB CD-ROM Drive
2- Onboard SATA Hard drive
3- Onboard or USB Floppy Drive
Unknown Device (not present)

4- Onboard IDE Hard Drive (not present)
5- USB Device (not present)

Diskette Drive
Drive 0: SATA -0...Drive 3: SATA -3
Drive 4: PATA-0,Drive 5: PATA-1

BIOS Version : 401 (05/25/2005)

Thanks in advance,

I would appreciate any collaboration

P.D: i´m sorry if the post is long but I neccesary to give as many data as can help
