I always seem to having a problem with reading/burning DVD-R and CD-R, but almost never had a problem with DVD-RW and CD-RW. I have several computers and have same symptoms. I tried different media, different DVD-burner, and different CD-burner, but alway have a problem with R media. I don't what makes R(not rewritable) so bad.

If you are having this problem outside of a single machine/drive please post the steps you take to burn a CD/DVD-R so that we can provide help.
