dvd burning problem

OS: winxp pro
CPU/Ram: amd athlon 2.3ghz

i am trying to burn a iso image of an xbox game and the file size is 4.3gigs and i have a 4.7g dvdr media, it says source file is to large to fit on cd and it wont burn, i have tried using nero, primodvd, record now, clonedvd but they all say the same. is there anything i can do to change is, either in setting or something. this is not the firt time it happen, i used svcdtodvd and made a compilation of 6 movies to fit on a dvd and total size was about the same as mentioned above. i would really appreciate some help and would to know if other people have the same problems. thanx toby

Right click on the file, select properties. Check that the 2nd size number (the one in parathesis) to make sure it is less than 4,482mbs. That's a more accurate indicator of the file size and 4,482 is the more accurate limitation.

Quote from Nero; "The ISO standard does not allow any files over 2GB in size to be written. So to write a file over 2GB in size to DVD, you must use the DVD-ROM (UDF) format." Also is using fat32 you can't burn a file larger than 4GB.
