dvd burning issues on a laptop
Hi, i own a sony PCG-K25F laptop an it comes with a pioneer dvr-k12d dvd+/-rw burner, recently it started to send an error message at the end of the process "unable to recover TOC", wich i understand it's a very hard problem to solve, so i decided to buy a pioneer dvr-109 and use it with an usb cable attached to my laptop, but the process stops at 5% an says that an error ocurred, so i've decided to format it, but both problems persists. I've used dvd decrypter, alcohol 120% and vso's convertx to dvd to burn in both devices. Both firmares are up to date. by the way, both drives burn cd's very well and at the maximum of their speeds (16x for k12d and 40x for 109). I've also used the USB cable to connect a 80 GB HD and it works fine. I also own an usb drive enclosure, but the results are the same.
Please help meeeeeee!!

Thnks for your time!!

Hi

TOC errors can be diff to find out why ?
got an error code? check your drives are using DMA enabled.

also wrong software may be the prob
use dvd decypter to rip all files vobs ifos into VIDEO_TS folder
use dvd shrink if you need to fit on to <4gig,
now use IMGBURN to create a nice iso you can burn using imgburn or nero or what ever your fav iso burn prog is.
