I have been using Ritek G05 full face printable - R X8 DVD'S for a while with no problem at all, however out of the latest batch i have bought the first 6 i have used have all failed at exactly 96%. Some of the discs were taken from the middle of the pack. Part of the error message that appears after the fail says something about " unrecognizable format ". I have burnt 2 of exactly the same disc obtained from a friend with no problem at all since. I am using a Pioneer 108. I am not too advanced on a p.c. but i think it is probably a bad batch of discs, could i be wrong. Thank you.

You could be right. Try using another brand media, or buy from a different batch :)

It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice...

buy sony, maxell, memorex, benq. Brands like these. they usually are good in price and in quality. try to stay away from no-name discs as they can result in damaged burns as well as damaging your DVD burner! Remember one who saves on a purchase, pays twice!

Half Life 2 kicks ass

Cheers. I think in future i'll just buy packs of 25 then i'll get less waste if it happens again. I emailed Ritek with details. They said they simulated burns and that they were ok and advised me to update my firmware but i still think it was a bad batch.
