My DVD burner ran perfectly for awhile...but now it is starting to slow down. When I burn DVDs now, the Buffer level jumps from 80% to 10% or so and back up. It also makes the computer slow down a LOT. The used read buffer starts at about 90% then drops to 50% then back up...I have tried different programs to burn, and that didn't work. I'm stuck.

I've had something kind of similar happen, except my buffer speed pretty much went nowhere. When *I* had the problem, I had to get a new burner... umm the only physical thing i can think of is just make sure its plugged in and connected properly. Also, when you brun CDs does it work? If it works on CDs then it may have a problem with the type of DVD you are using for some strange reason.
