What do you mean by "Copy DVD Programs?" Do you mean you're trying to read a DVD, or you're trying to burn a DVD? If burning, what software are you using?

What does Device Manager show as the drive identification?

Have you installed the MBoard chipset drivers? What burning program do you have installed? If the program came bundled with a different burner it may not work with yours. Somtimes going to the burning software site will allow you to update the drive list and thereby allow The program to recognise the burner.

Have you been able to burn dvd's on it previously? are you sure it's a burner, not all dvd drives are burners.
Please supply model number for your Liteon, burners usually have (in your case)a Liteon 16x DVD R designation, as opposed to Liteon 16x DVD.

i know the problem its a Liteon.
certain software will not work on a Liteon.
why im not sure orignaly i thought it was due to Liteon drives being used as a speck for ghost drives. half life and other games refused to work if a Liteon was present. but other software throws a wobbely if a Liteon is present too. so this may be the problem

else go into device manager unisatll it and then go through the hardwear and load up the drivers for it and see if that works.
A big hush hush tip is some hardwear bundeld programs if they install wont work but if you patch then with oficial patches some times it changes that.

all text needs typos. There there for the reader to find,to distract them from the total lack of content.
google it! wasnt the answer to the question i asked so dont be dense and give me that repl
