My brother just installed a DVD burner to his computer and each time he try to use his cd-rom drive his computer will shut down. He has the cd-rom as master and dvd burner as slave in a daisy chain fashion. I've never heard of anything like this. The DVD burner works fine, but whenever he try to use his cd-rom drive, the computer will shut down. Any idea of what the problem may be?
