Hello, I have a question about my Artec 16x DVD-ROM drive. I wonder how come some dvd backups from the NEC ND-1300A dvd-rw won't play in it? They play fine in the dvd writer and standalone player, but not in the rom. Any suggestions or ideas?

Some media can't be read in a DVD-rom. I'd say download the newest firmware from http://www.artecusa.com/tech-support-firmware.html and flash it. (but, on your own risk ofcourse) This will hopefully set it straight.
Make sure you get the firmware for your dvd-rom model. If you hesitate which model you have, look it up in your windows hardware manager or don't use the firmware.

Good luck

~Liz
