Hi,
Can anyone recomend any cases/enclosures for PCs and printers in extreamly dusty environments or has anyone made a diy one and got any advice ? It might be a good idea to protect the monitor as well. I've been giving our factory supervisor old low spec equipment for a while now, none of which tends to last very long (old age, dust and solvents, we work with grp) and he now needs a replacement printer and could do with a higher spec pc.

I really don't think that there is any printer that is suited for a dusty inviroment. What I did was but a cover for my printer. They also have them for the keyboard and monitor. I haven't seen one for the computer case yet?

There are/were environmental enclosures for the computer, monitor and printer. Basically a box with a flip up plexigas cover and a forced filtered air input.
The only thing that might be difficult is the printer for easy access to the output and refilling the paper tray. There are dirty environment keyboards.

I use dust covers already and they do help a bit with the printer but are useless on the pc because they require a flow of air and this brings the dust with it and they tend to make the monitor run hotter than the dust build up does. The enclosure is more what I was thinking of, can anyone remember any makers of them or seen any diy builds or plans ?
Thanks
Allan
