my 2nd computer is running on an AMD Duron @ 1.3Ghz, not overclocked, 13 x 100 mhz FSB. Sisoftware Sandra Pro 2003 is reporting a CPU temp of 48 Celsius, idle. Should I be concerned about that? The heatsink is a Volcano 6Cu+,copper base, rated for up to an Athlon 1.5Ghz. I'm not having any symptoms of overheating, but I'm a little worried since my Athlon XP 1800+ in my other box runs @ 45 C under heavy load. Thanks for your input.

Nothing at all wrong with 48 Celcious. In fact it's pretty darn good.

Got that right. My duron1300 is running 54c as I type. No problems phil. The temp differences between the 2 machines reflect everything I've read here and on other sites.
