Dual Monitor Mirroring Each other

Specs: Windows XP Professional, 2.99GB
I've looked at many of the posts and tried the solutions, but I none have helped so I am writing in hopes that someone will be able to give me the steps.

I have a Toshiba Tecra that has a Nvidia quadro nvs 150m graphic card. I have it in my docking station, a Toshiba Dynadock and have 2 ViewSonic VG2227wm monitors.

I have set it up so that my laptop displays on my 2 monitors, but the problem I am having is I can not for the life of me get my laptop display to stop being #1 and have my 2 external monitors not mirror each other.

If you need more information, please let me know!
Thank you

You probably have to enable the second monitor through control pannel. If you are running XP, right click on your desktop and click on properties, then go to the settings tab. There there should either be a shaded box with a #2 in it or an unshaded box with a #2. If the box is shaded right click in the box and click enable. If the box isn't shaded, look below and you should see a box that says "Extend my primary desktop onto this monitor." Check that box and click OK at the bottom of the window.

I am sorry, but if you are running Vista or 7, I can't give instructions because I don't use either on my computer.

Hope this helps

Sorry, I read your question wrong. Unless the display window has a 3rd monitor listed, you can't use 3 monitors without some sort of an external graphics adapter.

Thank you for your reply -- I will try it again. I only want to use 2 monitors, the two ViewSonics and not my laptop. But the 2 External monitors are mirroring eachother. Im wondering if it has to do with my graphics card...?
