DSL Slows Down

I have DSL thru AOL. When I first sign on, the connection speed is fine but after a half and hour to an hour, my connections gets very slow, sometimes as slow as dial up. Any ideas what can be causing this??

No, it's just your bandwith is being taken up by other programs. If you have "auto update" features enabled in programs, that's what they do, silently downloadng update files, and if you have spyware, uploading you info.
