If I understand you correctly you think that DSL is just there waiting to be used or somehow built into the PC? It is not. You need to contact your phone company and they will tell you if DSL is even available in your area. You then have to subscribe to the service and they will send you a DSL modem and phone line filters to install.

If the phone line is connected directly to the computer then you have a dial up modem and not a DSL modem. There are no internal DSL modems. Once you get a DSL modem you would need a line splitter in addition to the filter so one line could go to the DSL modem and the other to the AIO device for faxes.

As to the other question, I don't understand. If the AOI (All In One) device is connected to the PC then that is all there is. The DSL Is connected usually to the network card or USB port and the AIO device is usually connected to a USB port also.

The rule is that every telephone line-connected device MUST go through a filter. The all-in-one must be connected to the analogue (telephone) socket on the filter. If you need to attach a 'phone also, use a multi-adaptor in the 'phone socket on the filter

DSL modem--->DSL socket on filter
All-in-one-->adaptor--->phone socket on filter
Telephone--->adaptor--^

Don't be tempted to use a multi-adaptor in the wall-jack, and plug a DSL filter into that, alongside a 'phone or other device like a modem or fax or you'll get problems.
