I dropped my external 1tb on the floor. The hard drive was off when it was dropped. My problem is that most of the files i have on it have missing parts to them so if i play a movie it pauses and stops at random times. Is there any way of my fixing this without spending any money? Nope, it's damaged permanently. Grab the files off of it before the drive completely quits.

Copy the files off of it that you can, Zero fill the drive a few times and low-level it. If there are still bad spots, then not much you can do. Be more careful.
