|My guess is it would cost more to fix than to replace. Since I don't know the model it may be that a cheap netbook would suite your needs, have a warranty too. Even the cheap laptops are pretty good. A darn near great one is only $600 or so. I'd never buy a used laptop unless it was only $25 or so.|
Kind of difficult to guess what to do. It might be worth taking it apart just to see if any connectors or daughterboards have fallen off.
I dropped a $2000 laptop one time. A guy next to me said next year they would make them out of rubber. Didn't think it was funny at the time.
