Hi everyone, I have HP AMD Turion 64x2 DV 6190 laptop and recently got a unique problem - it just refuses to boot after showing HP logo and shows a blank black screen. when I press the power button, it gives a blue screen with message DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL and tells me to restart in safe mode, but every time I reboot, the same thing happens and it never lets me start the system! the technical details are: - acpi.sys address F73A8F32 base at F739D000 datestamp 42435c81 STOP: 0X000000D1 (0X00000028, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0XF73A8F32) What does this mean?

Yeah did the search first and have implemented the suggested things. Apparently this error message seems to appear because of a number of reasons. I am yet to find a exact match for 0X000000D1 (0X00000028, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0XF73A8F32). For some even moving the memory card from one slot to another has worked, for some it seems to a Norton antivirus issue, and so on. I am unable to implement most since they involve booting into safe mode which I am unable to do or even do a recover. The machine just stops!!

You can get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error from many causes, but sometimes it can be just because the ram module contacts are not getting a good connection - this worked for me when I got that error:
