driver installed, still no sound

winbook j4 g731 isn't producing any sound from the speakers. the driver is installed, also downloaded the compatible driver from the winbook site just to be sure, still no luck. tried uninstalling and reinstalling the speakers(c-media AC97 audio device) and the message "the device cannot start (code 10)" comes up. when i try and open the volume control, a window comes up saying there are no active mixer devices available.

look in device manage for an 'unknown ' yellow mark in the sounds if there is one, for media , click to update driver. it should give you the option to search the internet for the driver. it will find the driver after a little bit. hope thats it!
