Hi, recently the adsl connection to my computer stopped, and I've been trying to get it back. Apparently the problem is that the network adapter is not configured properly. Does anyone know if that could be the case, and where to download the drivers for the network adapter? It's an Intel 21143/2 based 10/100 mbps Ethernet Controller on a Compaq Presario 5110. First, remove the network (write down the set up if you need to so you know how to add it later). Go into the Device Manager and remove the device. Restart windows. It may find the NIC and reinstall it. Then you can set up your network again. If not... The Compaq support site does have lots of drivers, but the one you are looking for is not listed (It could also be included in a motherboard driver pack - which I did not notice either). I hate to suggest this, but... email compaq support with your exact specs and the exact error message. Ask them where to get the driver.

There's no error output. It only times out any connection.
