Drepped my hard drive

Specs: Windows XP sp3
I recently dropped my external 1tb hard drive onto a concrete floor while it was off. After i dropped it many of the files like movies and shows seem to stop and freeze at random times while i play them. Some don't even attempt to play at all. Is there any way for me to fix my hard drive so this does not happen without spending a lot of money? The hard drive in question----- http://www.acomdata.com/pureDrive_f...

I doubt it. You may have knocked the heads out of alignment. You are lucky it works at all.

You could try copying one of the files that doesn't work right to the internal drive and see if the file plays correctly from there.

As others have said, if the hard drive inside the external case is damaged, there's no cheap way to fix it.

It could be it's the circuits in the external case that are damaged. You could try removing the hard drive and connecting it to another external hard drive enclosure (SATA probably, whatever the hard drive is; if you don't have one they cost $30 and up), or connecting it internally to a desktop computer - if it's 3.5" that's easy.
