Subject: DRAM Error
OS: Windows XP
CPU/Ram: Atlhon 64 3000+ / 1GB DDR
Model/Manufacturer: Giga-byte GA-M51GM-S2G
Comment:
I attempted to flash my bios to a more up to date version. I was prompted that the flash was performed correctly and i had to restart my computer. On restart i got the beep code for a DRAM error. I cant see what went wrong with the stick of memory i have as it has worked fine up until now. BIOS is Award. Any help on what could be wrong would be great, thanks.

After flashing a BIOS you need to enter the BIOS screens and reset some values there. The beep may be related to that.

i am guessing you are saying you get beeps and no screen image.
could try clearing settings with the cmos battery jumper, although I would think that new bios would already be at the default basic settings.
Only other thing to do is try another ram stick (assuming you have tried reseating the original already)

You often need to clear the bios settings by the jumper on the motherboard after a bios flash. If you can access the bios, then go into the bios and reset the config data.
