|Yes, it's true the error message is technically related to the monitor not getting a proper video signal. However, aside from a damaged monitor or video card (which I personally have never seen), damaged or incorrect RAM seems to produce this behavior (at least 3 times I can remember when working with customer's PCs). |
The other, easier thing you might check is to make sure the monitor cable is security connected on both ends, and then reset your monitor to the default configuration using the buttons on it.
