Might have to setup all sorts of autoexec and config settings that related to the old dos install. Might have to set parallel settings also in bios to match what the printer needs.
Hope you are not going to say you have a usb printer.

Most DOS application will not print to a Windows only printer. Those that has PCL emulation may work.

If run from a command prompt window I think a dos app can see a windows printer but generally dos software come with their own printer support. If the printer you want to use isn't listed as one that's supported and there is no compatible generic printer then you're out of luck.
