Don't you people hate cordless mouse?

I've tried several topnotch cordless mouses(stupid enough to spent over $200 only for mouses), but never been able to stand the lag. I just hated the non-direct feeling of cordless mouses.

I ended up using $10 logitech optical wired mouse for all my computers.

I have no idea what "lag" you are talking about?? I've owned cordless mice for a long time (quite a few different brands) and have never seen a lag. Mouse movements are just as fast and accurate as that of a corded (within micro seconds anyway).

If you are having lag problems then I would suggest looking in other areas for your problem, because I seriously doubt it's the mouse.

There's no difference in the OS between a standard mouse and a wireless mouse. The only difference is the wireless part. There might be something interfering slightly with the wireless transmissions, causing re-transmissions.

Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

I still love my cordless logitech keyboard and mouse even after four years - works great for me.

I use a wireless MS mouse on my laptop. I haven't noticed any lag.

No lag on my optical wireless either despite having had it for donkeys years. Only moan is having to keep recharging batteries - maybe newer ones don't gobble up so much power.

As an aside, everyone says a white mouse pad saves batteries yet they are near impossible to obtain.

Have you guys actually compaired wireless mouse and wired mouse?

If you go back to wired mouse(optical) I am pretty sure you will feel the difference.

I have tried following mouses for the last four years on 2 of my laptops and 2 of my desktops.

-Logitech V450 Laser Cordless Mouse for Notebooks
-Logitech LX5 Cordless Optical Mouse
-Logitech Cordless Mini Optical Mouse
-Logitech Optical Mouse

-MS Wireless Laser Mouse 6000
-MS Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000
-MS Wheel Mouse Optical

None of the wireless mouses was comfortable enough for me(means no lag) to use, but "MS Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000" was barely acceptable.

The worst one was "MS Wireless Laser Mouse 6000".

The best ones are
-Logitech Optical Mouse(wired)
-MS Wheel Mouse Optical(wired)
It's funny that these are the cheapest ones among their line-ups. I now own 4 Wired Logitech Optical Mouses($9.99 each).

I am a computer programmer so that the comfortability of input devices are very important factor.

I do keep speed and acceleration on mine set at max so perhaps that makes some difference (although everyone else complains it's too fast).
