Solved Don't know password - Can't enter server BIOS

Specs: Windows Server 2003
Hello everyone,
I just got a server, and the previous owner didn't give me the admin password. All I am planning on doing is wiping it, so I tried to enter the BIOS, but the F keys don't seem to work. After doing some research, I think that they are not in F-lock. None of my desktop keyboards have an F-lock or FN button, but my laptop has an FN button. I was wondering if I could somehow use the laptop keyboard to access the server's BIOS without installing software on the server (I can't get in, and it probably wouldn't even work outside the operating system). I would really appreciate any help!

If you have a PS2 plugged keyboard rather than USB, try that instead (assuming it has the plug).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Is that Hillary Clinton's old server? If so, here's some passwords you can try:

Anyway, the motherboard or system manual should tell you how to get into bios setup and whether a special keyboard is needed.

I wonder if it would help if you told us the make and model of your server?

"everyone" knows that - it's Jeeves, or in some cases "Grimes"... - both English manufactured; and on rare occasions - "Belvedere" of USA manufacture.
