trying to connect my second laptop to the wireless router
Who makes the router? If it's one from Comcast or another ISP, they usually have the password on a label on the bottom of the unit. If this is a store purchased router and you forgot the password, you can press the reset button and it will clear the password along with any settings you might have changed.
Router password or network password?
Please go to the properties of the wireless network name on the first laptop(on which internet is working) and check the box that says show characters! you can see the network key and use the same to connect on your second laptop!
