Does xbox work with comp router?

ya i was just wondering, and i know i prob should be asking some xbox forum bout this but u guys are faster....am i able to use a computer router(linksys) in place of an xbox connecter(connects more than two xboxes together)? I was told by someone that i couldnt but they didnt seem like a reliable source and i have no way of getting an xbox connector. thanks in advance

A router works on Playstation 2, not sure about xbox. If no one knows, buy it from a place that gives 100% back on returns (no "restocking" fees), just in case.

i used a computer router to link 3 xboxes and it worked perfectly. dont know about the brand tho.
