Does IE8 have a zoom level default setting?

Specs: Windows 7
I just purchased a new laptop running Windows 7, 17.3" screen, with IE8 and cannot keep my zoom level at 150% to fill my screen. Every time I go to a different web page it resets itself to 100%. I have tried to set it by going to IE8 Tools , Internet Options, Advanced, Accessibility, and unchecking " reset............." but the screen still goes back to 100%. I have also gone to Control Panel, Personalization, Display and set it at 150% and that didn't work! I have another laptop running Vista and IE8 and I can set the zoom level at default 125% which fills my screen on that computer, no problem. Can someone please help?

bevesims, Open IE, click View, select Zoom, select Custom, set it at 150%, click OK. See if that locks it in at 150%

Note that the default setting is indeed 100%.

Thanks, Tufenuf for your input, however, that didn't work either!
