Can someone tell me if there exists a firewire into usb 2.0 cable?

I would like to connect my usb 2.0 devices into my firewire port for the increased speed.

I konw that there are firewire to usb cables for use with digital video cameras, but do they make normal sized cables so that I can connect a normal usb 2.0 device into a firewire 400 port? If so, can you recommend some models? Even better would be a usb hub that plugs into a firewire port. thank you

Why? Don't assume that by simply plugging the USB device into a higher speed port you are going to get higher transfer speeds.

The speed you get will still be governed by the transfer rate of the USB2.

In any data transfer system the speed is no faster than the slowest link and in this case, it's the USB.

I should have been more clear:
I have a USB 2.0 flash drive and am planning to get more USB 2.0 devices, however, my laptop only has USB 1.1 ports

Along with the cable you would need a Firewire driver than supports USB2 emulation. I don't think you will find anything like that.

In that case you best solution is is USB2 PCI card.

No they do not. USB is USB only and Firewire is firewire only.
