Iv never heard of a HD fan before... and im running two HDs one right under another a 40 and 10 gig. It doesnt matter how big they are. You should be fine.

yes they have HD fans
Do you need them? How far apart are your HD's from each other, how much cooling do you have now, do they feel hot to the touch? If you have proper circulation, you most likely do not need a hd fan.

When all else fails beat the $%!* out of it!!!

depends if the drives are 5,400 rpm, 7200rpm or 10000 rpm

54000 rpm drives dont get hot the other do 72000 rpm as long as you leave a gap between another Hard drive or cd rom you will be fine. If you hahve a 10000 drive you can always buy hard drive coolers to help keep temp down. I use coolermaster heatspreader and fan. Hard Drive housing sits in you CD ROM bay have a look at their website
