Specs: Windows 7
Every time I turn my Inspiron laptop, I get an error messages saying:
Error loading dll file
Characters:3
Line:30

file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Dell%20Support%20Center/sscommon/common/inc/ss_shellinclude.js

It seems to happen while I play Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. The screen will crash into a green, purple, or blue color and it makes a horrible computer "burning" or "shreiking" sound. I have 4G of RAM and an alright video card to run the game and it is on the lowest settings. What might the problem be?

" What might the problem be?"

Games are well known to have more bugs in them than most other programs, and it's well known they do NOT work properly on all possible computers that at least meet the games minimum requirements. If this happens ONLY with the game, it's probably bugs in the game that's the cause. You could try looking on the game's web site for updates or mentions in FAQs of what you need to do to fix your problem, but often there is no fix and you just cannot use that game.

If you get the error regardless of whether you were playing the game, see this:

It is an error that is involved with or without the game, and I think it leads to the crash. It has popped up 3 times within twenty minutes.
What is a "g_logger"? Is that a virus?

Look up the name of the file on the web.

The error you quoted in the first post is about a file for the Dell software the info at the link in response 1 is about.

I have the same exact problem and I play Warhammer online too. I have a Inspiron 1764 laptop with 4G RAM and i5 processor with an integrated chip. It must be Warhammer causing it for certain computer because I thought it was my computer overheating and frying my cards or something.

I also had the
"Error loading dll file
Characters:3
Line:30

file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Dell%20Support%20Center/sscommon/common/inc/ss_shellinclude.js
"
Problem as well; deleting the microsoft update center stopped it for me but I still have the crashes. If anyone had a solution I would be very appriciative.

GTShield

You never delete what you can un-install, because deleting probably will not get rid of everything that was installed.

The problem is not caused by a Microsoft program - it's caused by a Dell program.
