Hello!
I have a LG 19" Slim monitor. All round shapes are not exactly round, they look like a rugby ball instead of a socker ball.
A have a nVidia video card with 94.24 Forceware, running in 1280x1024.
I can't find, nor in the screen integrated basic settings neither in the Forceware, where to flatten the image.
Is there any software or advice ;) that could help me.
Thanks.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700

nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX
GigaByte 3D Aurora case

You are probably using the wrong resolution, especially if you have a widescreen monitor. You need to choose a resolution with a width to height ratio that is the same or close to the same as the optimal (a.k.a. native) resolution for your particular monitor, even if you can't actually set it to the optimal resolution with your particular video hardware/video drivers.
You are best off to load the specific drivers for your monitor rather than using the default Plug and Play Monitor drivers selection, especially if you are using an LCD widescreen monitor - Windows by default will then show you only the settings the monitor was designed to use, and that the video drivers are capable of providing that the monitor drivers specify.
Plug and Play Monitor drivers were put together way back when XP was first released and probably haven't changed much if any since, even in SP2 - they are primarily designed for CRT monitors and have very little specific LCD support, and it is often possible to use some Plug and Play Monitor settings that don't work with LCD monitors, or do work but the LCD monitor can be ruined over a longer period by using them.
If you can't select a wide screen resolution that has the same or close to the same width to height ratio your monitor needs (divide the width by the height to compare)after loading your specific monitor drivers, you will have to upgrade your video to a newer card that does support what you need if you want the display to be properly proportioned and not be streched width wise.
If your video settings can't achieve the optimal resolution, if you have a good quality monitor, such as your LG or a Samsung, other resolutions will still look very good, but text/fonts may not look as good.
Turn on Clear Type in Windows XP or Vista - makes type/fonts on LCD screens look clearer.
http://www.microsoft.com/typography...Once you select a more suitable resolution, if round shapes are still not quite round, you can often fine tune that in Windows in Display - Settings - Advanced somewhere, and/or in your case maybe a NVidia video settings program, or possibly in the settings on the monitir itself. That by itself is probably not enough to compensate if your resolution ratio is way off.
