Display setting keep changing on start up

Hi, I have no idea what happened. My computer was running fine used it and turned it off. Started it up that afternoon and my diplay setting resolution started at 1280 by 600 which I had it set at and then the screen flashes and it changes to 800 by 600 while loading. It says all my drivers are up to date and have used uniblue registry clean which hasn't fixed it. I have a toshiba satellite A200 with Vista. Please help me I have tried everything I know and am thinking of throwing it off a 20 story building and see if that fixes anything lol....

Have you installed any games or programs that require the 800 x 600. Had a similar problem when the grand kids installed a game requiring that resolution and it was set up to run at boot up. Just a thought
