Here's my problem...I've had my computer goin for over a year and had zero problems at all. All of a sudden the other night my monitor goes into power save mode. Nothing would wake it up. I finally restarted my computer, the monitor came up, but as soon as it went to go to the regular windows screen, the monitor immediately went back into power save mode. I restarted again in power save mode and the monitor worked fine. I removed my graphics driver and restarted the computer...monitor works but looks like crap. The second I re-install the graphics driver the screen goes back into power save. I've tried the driver off of my cd, one off of leadtek's website, and one off of driverguru, all with the same effect. I've got an ASUS A7V333 mobo (socket A with AMD chip) and a Geforce graphics card, running on XP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your power save settings in the bios to make sure something isn't whacky. Truthfully I always turn off my power save in the bios as in the past, I've had computers lock up and would have to do a hard boot to get running again.

We can fix this, but you're gonna need a butter knife, a roll of duct tape, and a car battery

I am not sure but I would think that safe mode is loading windows basic 16 bit graphics and the card is not being pushed. It sounds like might be card failing.
