A7V333 + onboard Promise raid
XP pro on single IDE WD 80GB drive.
RAID 0 array (storage) 2 x Maxtor 40GB drives
RAID BIOS shows functioning array with correct disks.

Hi,
My Problem is XP won’t recognise the disks on my RAID array.

Disk Management does not show the drive.

In My Computer the Drive appears as a local Disk but if I try to either access it or use any disk tools I get a “Drive is not ready” message. In properties the drive name field is blank and the File System is RAW, Used and free space is 0.

The RAID controller in Hardware Device manager appears to be working. When I try to populate under the Volume tab I basically get no joy either. Unreadable and unknown.

I have the drives checked and they are working….

I have scoured the net for information but am forces to ask some help from anyone that may have a clue!

So if that is yourself I would be eternally grateful for your assistance

Thanks,
Steven
