Subject: disk read error
OS: windows xp
CPU/Ram: P4 1700MHZ 256
Comment:

i tried to install a secondary hard drive and bios recognizes it but when i select it just after the screen where it says press del to enter setup an error comes up saying disk read error
press control alt delete to restart this comes up everytime

Have you set the jumper on the second hard disk to slave? Thats if you have put the second hard drive as primary slave or secondary slave.

Can you explain in a bit more detail. You say the bios detects it. so why do you need to select it?

to use it like it has an option where i choose which hdd i want to boot with
