I had reinstalled XP pro on my dell computer after a crash and found after the installation that I'm stuck with the default monitor (640 x 480). So I went into the monitor in the control panel to disable the default monitor. Result...Now the system boots, but I cant see a thing on the monitor! Also when I tried to undo this in safe mode, it does not boot into safe mode but rather I see a rundown of windows list on the screen. Help someone!!

That's because you didn't install the video drivers. Why would you disable the monitor?

You mean like THIS?

That's normal. Did you wait long enough for safe mode to load? It may take a while.
