for ten bucks i picked up an ancient ibm p90-350. it works great for my 4 yr. old except i want to put a video card in it, I believe it has onboard s3trio32/64 svga graphics,,, is it possible to override/disable it.

Sure, but it's usually not necessary. You can have more than one video adapater. Selecting which one to use is done in the bios.

Hi
look closley on the mobo to see if there is a jumper to disable on board graphics.
possibly not in them days , then it may be in the Bios , disable it there then put a pci graphics card in.
voodoo 1 ?
lol i had a s3 trio, played doom for years on that box.
