Hi
On a laptop (toshiba) I am trying to disable the onboard keyboard and use an external one. The disable option doesnt seem to be there though. Anyone know how to do this one.

Hi, You dont need to disable the on board keyboard to use a external one, same for the mouse, Just plug them in and boot up and away you go, also you should be able to still use both BTW, Oh just a tip, dont hotplug a keyboard or mouse, ive heard this can fry your PS2 port, Plug them in before you boot up. Hi
thanks for the fast reply. Yeah I thought it should automatically disable the onboard one but it doesnt. Both are still working. There is a problem with the onboard one and I actually dont want it working and just want to the use the external one.

Hi, Im not sure about your laptop but the only way i can think to dissable my onboard keyboard would be to unplug it , their are some small tabs along the bottom then it lifts out and unplug the cable for it. Unless their may be somethink in your bios for it,Can your keyboard be fixed threw a driver update ?? Oz

Im not sure about the driver. Basically it seems like an internal keyboard error. It is like all the keys are pressed at the same time. Its possessed. Ill have a look in the BIOS to see if I can do something
