I have a bunch of games and it says I cant play because it requires a minimum of Direct X 8. but I cant get 8 because I am on Windows XP and the only ones I can get it 9 and 10. BUT I have tried them both so can you please give me support and help. I am in huge need of assistance. PLEASE Help me.

DX9c is what you want installed. What the game means is you need at least DX8. DX9c is greater so if that is what you have it will be fine.

DX10 is for Vista.

If your computer still won't install or play the game post back.

Hi,
I am not a big gamer, but I do put games on the Grandkids computer here at the house. Seems almost every cd checks to see if directx is installed and if not, displays the option to install it.

If you have the game cds I would check them.
