Difficulties booting at 133/133

CPU/Ram: amd xp1800 / 256

Have new K5S7A mobo and xp1800 with one stick 256mb PC2100 DDR SDRAM (OEM), BIOS is AMIBIOS version 1.21.11. The PSU is 300w OEM. The system boots and runs fine at 100/133 but annoyingly requires 3 or 4 restarts to boot at 133/133 and then runs fine. Sound like a PSU or memory incompatibility problem? Or should I be updating the BIOS…… I would appreciate any commens as to what could be going on here…. thanks

well depends. yeah but most likely 300watt powre supply is not enough for amd processors. i think your ram should be fine.

you can try to update your bios to see if that will solve your problem.

i have that board and its your power supply. i had the same problem and changing to a 400w fixed it

Same problem with my asus P4B533.
Changed Power supply and now all is OK.
Before : "No name" 400W
Now : "Enermax" 350W (ref. EG365P-VE FMA)
