Hi,

The extra connection is normally intended to power the monitor, using a dedicated powers upply cable.

It may or may not be switched by the computer on / off buttons.

It is not essential to use this connection.

Usually one of those connectors is input and the other one is out. The output connector is for the monitor.
I've never seen one with two inputs.

Nothing special about them, it just and extension to the power supply. There is only one input, the other one is an output. They were designed for the power cable for a monitor so the monitor goes of when the computer turns off. Used mainly with AT power supplies as the power was switched with a mains switch on the front panel.

However, with ATX power supplies, that facility is of no use as the power is supplied continuously while the cable is plugged into the power supply.

If you speakers requires the power extension on the power supply I think you are going to have to find some other way of powering your speakers.

The power lead from the PSU will go into a transformer. Get a transformer that plugs into the mains.

Alternatively, cut the plug of then end of the cable the is going into the PSU and fit a main plug.
