Does anypone know if it was possible to install two different RAM chips on to the same motherboard and have it still work? Basicaly I have a Corsair 256k PC3200 400Mhz and a Generic 512k PC2700 333Mhz RAM Chip. I'm Running the Corsair on a ASUS A7N8X MoBo with an AMD 1800+ CPU. And I just wanted to know if it is safe to add the Generic Brand 512K PC2700 RAM stick of memory. Or will it make my system unstable, or even worse fry my MoBo..???

Yes, you can mix different DRAM brands. Ryan is right though about the speeds. But hey, Your CPU is running at PC2100 speed. Unless you can set the RAM speed independently in the BIOS, you are running at PC2100 speed for your memory right now.
