Some time ago, my computer suddenly would not boot. After removing the AGP ATI Radeon card I'd been using for years, I was able to resume normal operation with my onboard video, poor as it is. I figured it was either the card or my inadequate 250 Watt PSU.

My PSU blew out today so I picked up a 400 Watt. When I try to use the card, I don't even get a BIOS screen - even when the monitor is plugged into the onboard card - it seems even having the weird card set in the AGP slot causes problems. With the old PSU, I got a solid yellow LED and constant hi-speed fan activity - now everything starts normally...just nothing on the monitor. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

A defective device, be it a card or drive, can sometimes cause the motherboard to not operate correctly. Evidently that AGP card needs to be replaced.

Verify you have the AGP card properly seated.
