Excuse my limited computer language.
I am using a usb cord that is connected to one of my laptop's side usb ports and my mobile phone. In the past, my laptop has always been able to detect it. However, this time my device is working correctly (charging) but the computer does not show any sign of detection. My mobile doesn't show up on the "Devices with Removable Storage" list in 'Computer'.. any explanation/suggestions?

Turn off the machine.Plug your device before turn on to see if the system detect it.If not go to: 1-Control Panel 2-Add new hardware 3-Fallow the wizard
Note that you need to search for your device if the sysyem don,t detect it.
