Detect Slave drive without format

June 21, 2009 at 01:05:42
Specs: Windows XP
Can anyone help me get my system to show my back up (Slave) drive in My Computer? I have just rebuilt my system and whilst I have got it working I now want to copy relevant files from my old Back Up drive. I do not want to lose the data on the drive and so formatting seems not to be an option. The drive shows as Slave in Bios and in Device Manager etc.

You have to take ownership of the files. Google it.

Might have to assign a drive letter also.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
