my HD is dead. when i turn on my pc, it says no hard disk found on the intro screen. the bios doesnt shows the HD. i check the cable, everything seems fine. when i insert another HD, its fine. so my HD is dead. before i dump it, i wanna destroy it completely. but even the disk is shredded. i am afraid some data on the shredded disk can still be recovered. is the best way to destroy everything in the HD? burn it with a flamethrower? any other way?

Somebody's really paranoid. What's on the drive anyway?

Just beat it with a hammer until the disks are mangled. Or take it apart and run a magnet over the disks.

Take the opportunity to take it apart and see what makes it tick...then just put it in the trash on trash day.

I checked....the software police are in Mexico this week and the Aliens have gone back to Venus. So your safe from being busted .

Once over it with a D-9 bulldozer should do the trick.
